After years of clinical experience as a Sex Counselor and Pelvic Physical Therapist working with the world-renowned Sexual Medicine Physician, Dr. Irwin Goldstein, Dr. Rose saw that in order to improve your sex life and strengthen your relationship(s), it’s important to take a holistic approach that addresses the unique intersectionalities of your identity and looks at the physical, emotional, cultural, societal, interpersonal and behavioral factors that impact connection, desire, and pleasure.
She speaks nationally and internationally as a sex expert on the topics of sexuality, relationships, communication, pleasure, and pelvic health and works with individuals and couples all over the world as a Sexologist. You may not have heard of sexology before, it’s the study of human sexuality.
She has trained medical doctors, therapists, and other health and wellness practitioners all over the world in her signature Reclaim the Flame method that combines neuroscience, somatics and integrative sex counseling to create simple 30-second science-backed rituals that help her clients create ease and excitement surrounding intimacy so they can feel confident, and connected in all areas of their relationship(s).
In her private holistic sexual wellness practice, she specializes in working with individuals, partners and small groups of women and LGBTQIA individuals who have experienced trauma, who would love to increase their desire for and enjoyment of intimacy and/or those who are experiencing pain or discomfort with intimacy.
Dr. Rose trains sex educators, counselors and therapists as a faculty member of the University of Michigan’s Sexual Health Certificate Program, lectures in San Diego State’s Marriage and Family Therapy Program, has been published in the Journal of Women’s Health Physical Therapy and has presented trainings for medical doctors, health care professionals, therapists, business owners, and other professionals all over the world at institutions like UCSD Medical School, Kaiser Permanente, Naval Medical Center, Alvarado Hospital, University of California Irvine’s Human Sexuality Program, Pelvic Floor Sexual Medicine Provider Meeting and abroad in Kerala, India, and Beijing, China.
